Documentation standard

Every material we sell ships with an analytical certificate for its lot. This page explains what each field on that certificate means, how lots are numbered, and what we deliberately do not publish.

What each field means

Material

The compound, our catalogue number and the fill quantity. These three values are identical on the certificate, the product page, the carton and our product feed. If any of them disagree, do not use the material — contact us.

Lot number

Formatted L-YYMM-X: year, month of fill, and a sequential letter. A lot number belongs to exactly one material, so a number resolves to a single certificate. The lot on your carton is the lot on your certificate.

Method

The analytical method used, stated precisely enough to reproduce: technique, detector, wavelength and gradient. A result without a method is not a result.

Result

Reported as percentage of total peak area, with identity confirmed by mass. We publish the measured figure for the lot, not a specification range or a target.

Laboratory and date

Testing is performed independently of our supply chain. The date is when the assay ran, not when the listing was written.

Chromatogram

The trace itself, so you can judge the peak rather than take a number on trust. Included in every certificate PDF.

What you will not find here

These absences are policy, not oversight. We supply materials to laboratories; interpretation belongs to the researcher, and anything beyond material facts would put us outside the terms we sell under.
